Roblox Building Project: Type 63 TARDIS

Hello, my first day here on TardisBuilders, I have recently seen other Roblox users post there contributions here, I have decided now is the right time to post some of the stuff I have created with the massive help from this site

The TARDIS here began life around 2 months ago were a friend of mine was asking for a custom design based of the 2002 Design, another friend had built him one earlier that was eventually released to other users on Roblox, so I aimed to remake it in the same vain for my friend..

Here is the original, not made by me design.



All future images of my TARDIS design here have been made after the TARDIS was mostly completed, I never thought the save during the build process.

Right, lets move onto the TARDIS then..


The Roundel walls:



They are built to a similar scale and shape as the older version, helps keep it looking like a direct continuation.

The Main floor:

The floor on the original was just a plain flat surface for the majority of the surface area, I intended to fix this and make it more vissualy interesting, I decided to go for a glass floor route that would lead to an underneath section that was otherwise cut off.

The room was at a very early stage decided to be six sides to match the Console.

The Under console:

I was having trouble coming up with a design for this section, so I went back to the og article 2002 and looked for ideas, I saw the use of the corral rounded walls with McGann pillars and thought it was a good combinations, my ideas evolved from there and started to slot into place.

Quick note to say that the ceiling and under console are the same, this helps give the room a rounded look without being too modern series.

The under console is flipped upside down and altered to be used for the roof, Lighting effects are also added.

(Note the blue secondary lights arnt a permanent feature, there are other colour modes which I will detail later on)

OH MY GLOB!

That's one heck of a console and room you've built there, PR! (Bit of a trip hazard with those indents in the floor around the console, but I could get over that. )

This would be an interesting design to see on screen in the series - maybe for the 15th Doctor or so. (They'll probably have worn out the current console room set by then, and if the 15th Doctor wants to change the Desktop Theme again, this could provide some serious inspiration for the new design!)

The Secondary Console Room + Console

As you most likely guessed, this is based of Season 14 Console Room along with other elements seen throughout the 80s era of the show.

This was primary a remake project for since this main idea I had for it originated around 2010 (can't place the correct date) and wanted to see how much I had improved in terms of consistency.

I think it turned out pretty well for a small diversion from the main TARDIS
