Just a small experiment to see if I like the colour scheme.

So far I do.

Waiting for shipments of switches can be an exercise in patience.
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Visiting my friend Dan - envy-ing his pebble glass (a rarity in the US) in the back rooms of Comic Book Heven.

Was able to borrow a dinky Allen wrench the correct size to remove the hex screws securing the knob caps.

Upcycled from a bin. A corner table.

What a fantastic find!  I read that you "upcycled" it from a bin, but can you provide a bit more detail?  I mean, were you driving by a community "dump" and spotted this resting by a receptacle?  Were you purposely "trash to treasure" hunting?  This should make for an interesting anecdote.

Sincerely,

Bill

Hi Bill.

No, this will not be as interesting a story as Jon Pertwee's "nergaling" story from filming Spearhead from Space.

I did say it was a bin, but it was in fact a curb find. Just for ease of clarification I had elected to streamline my statement to "bin" for simplicity and recognition.
I was cycling through my neighborhood and on the first trash day of the month and some houses the tennents decide to move without moving their stuff and the landlords have to throw everything away by law. On the trash amnesty day, towers of previously loved items are stacked by the curbside. I happened to come across this side table - minus the glass top which I imagine may have shattered sometime in the past. I hooked the corner of the table on the end of my handlebars and attempted to ride it home, there were a few times the structure of the table rubbed up against the front wheel and I had to reposition it. Then just in case insects or other stowaways may have bummed a ride I decided to leave it to be cleansed by the elements for a week or so. I thought I was in the clear but then the Rani showed up and tried to encase me in a 20 year time loop.

But that is another story.....

I dunno; that reads as quite the comical sight for a clueless bystander!  I would ask how on Gallifrey did you manage to balance such an  awkward load, but I've seen clips of people cycling with items piled as large as Jabba the Hutt!  Relatively speaking (er, typing), this was arguably a cake walk.

Sincerely,

Bill

So my dad was driving me home from an endoscopic examination appointment (apparently not everything was cleared out of my system....so I have to go back in October.... The next time they are available) while I was still "drugged up" from the sedation.... we came across a couple of tables that were on the curb for trash pickup.

So I will be upgrading my console feet.

You certainly have some uncanny luck with curbside discoveries! ;)

BTW, I wish you well with your follow-up exam.

The wooden table top in the foreground will make a good base for the console. Also a  curb find.
