Hi Guys,
Well Time is Ticking, Ironic when you're building a Time Machine :) I have till the 5th.....ARGHHHH

Anyway been doing a few bits of last minute shopping and last minute making. I've made the mushroomy control using a peanut butter lid, a fabric softener lid, a couple of screws, a fob watch lid and and a wall plug and silver spray. I also finished off my push light, using a funnel, drawing pins and some gold paint.

I also bought a LED light ring to possibly use for the rotor, although im not too sure... I also put the first coat of paint on the back of the TARDIS doors. I still need to finish of the rim, but need to get some glue sticks for the glue gun to finish them. I bought a staple gun to finish the bench seat, but even though on the packaging it said it came with staples, it didnt!

that door looks pretty awesome  ;)

Will you be making a hatch for the phone?

-FloppyDiskNinja

BioDoctor900

Ahh, unfortunately not, thats the phone from my TARDIS. The PTO door on mine has warped and needs replacing. This is the front of my friends Portable TARDIS, but for the time being these are going to be the doors for the set of the console for the event that its going to be at. I plan to finish painting it and then drawing on top to make it look like it has the recessed panels as its flat

Everything is looking great! Love that photo through the doors, looking inside without the flash. Very cool! Good luck with everything on Thursday.

Hi Guys, Well KnightCon has happened and it was hectic. Friday was really stressful as we had to fit a Dalek, 11 Manikins, 11 Costumes and the Console, Bench Seat, Rail and Hatstand into a Transit van! Luckily it all fitted. Setting up this morning was something I wish I didn't have to go through on the stress side as I nearly had a meltdown, I finished putting up the console, which took nearly 3 hours! with ten minutes to spare.

The Day was really good, Hundreds of pictures were taken and it had a really good response from the public. There were a few downsides, like another 10 look a like who leant back on the bench seat too much and after he left I tried moving it the middle seat came off and he also made one of the console panels fall in, so I dont think ill be having him on board again lol

Anyway Pictures;

Had to glue a lot of bits onto the console as they had fallen off in transit, this was the clear panels, so remember Dave, Bring a Glue Gun!! For Doing the Event I got the lovely backdrop walls and coral buttresses :D The buttresses are made from 20mm MDF

Brilliant work, BioDoc! Fantastic! (Looks like some of your photos didn't come through, though, and if they're as good as the ones that did, me, Grimlock, want to see!)

Those pictures are truly amazing! Your console looks fabulous on display in a larger area where you can really get a good look at it. It really does look likeit is growing out of the floor, and the lights in particular have a great effect! Where have the walls come from? Have I missed a build diary for them? They really do create a very nice illusion altogether :)

Also I'm intrigues by the TARDIS visible at the top of your first picture. It looks very real! Very 7B. And swear that's the back of a magically unshaven Smith head next to it...
Isn't it how ironic that we have to think of solutions out of the box, in order to build our boxes a lot of the time?

Right I've sorted out the other pics. The Conosle was very well received, I was quite shocked, although there were a few people who decided that even though the area was cordoned off that they would just come in and start playing. It was also slightly disappointing with the DVD I had made for it, as SFX of the TARDIS hum, Take off, Flight and Landing couldn't really be hurd as there were soo many people and they hadn't given me a large speaker and amp.

In answer to your question about the TARDIS Walls Superrichi1a, No you didn't miss anything in the build. These were made by the guy who runs the event, using Hi Resolution images of the TARDIS walls at the Doctor Who Experience. They were blown up onto Plastic sheet/Banner material and I was given these along with the buttresses you can see in return for bringing the console to the event. Also the TARDIS is another Fan built prop, the owner has a classic series box aswell, the classic is waterproof where as the smith box is MDF, although he was saying he's thinking about possibly selling the MDF to make a Plywood one so that it can stay outside, he said it was also dependant on the Capaldi box, which actually his box looks how the new Capaldi prop does anyway as it has taller panels and thinner bars on the doors and sides, so he was glad of that information

Ooh and a pic I forgot to upload....

I think anyone posing for a photo with Rebecca Holden would have a lovely smile. (Well, a huge one anyway!) Jeez, BioDoc; you really had one heck of a time there: 2005 TARDIS walls - to go with a killer console, a great Sarah Jane, a fantastic Rose, a Klingon! And to top it all, "April Curtis" herself: Rebecca Holden! (I know... another redhead; what can I say? Raising the bar on theEnvy(microbial).jpg scale yet again.)

I'm definitely living at the wrong coordinates!

Cheers for the comments guys, but my mood has just been really, really dampened by the news that the guy who runs the event, who stated on a number of occasions that in return for doing the event, I would get the backdrop, has now gone back on that, saying that I was getting a free display at the event and not a free display to take home and he now wants the walls back.  >:(  >:( So at the moment I'm not in the best of moods, I've been sitting here for the past half an hour, shouting and swearing at him over facebook, telling him that I left myself short with money on some weeks to get the console to the standard it was and this was what I got in return and hes not battered an eyelid...... >:(  :'(
