I hope discoveries such as these may inspire console builders to incorporate similar ideas into their designs.
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Kingpin

Those must've been intended for arcade cabinets and fruit machines, too bad you don't see many of them.

I need to stop looking at this thread, it's giving me ideas. I don't want to risk spoiling what I've got but... No! Bad!
I speak to you from the final days of Gallifrey. I am the past you have forgotten. You are the future I will not live to see...

I wonder, Nate, if it might be an idea to include where you found these items? This might help future (console) builders to source the various switches, etc.

3 Vintage Black Scalloped 2.25" Round Radio Knobs Guitar Amplifier Ham

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Vintage-Black-Scalloped-2-25-Round-Radio-Knobs-Guitar-Amplifier-Ham/123262814707?hash=item1cb30949f3:g:2ucAAOSwbtNaFsga

QuoteUp for sale here is this set of 3 vintage black Bakelite or plastic scalloped round knobs, probably from the 1940s or 1950s and Made in USA.  These are in great shape with light to moderate wear.  They have a rough matte finish, not the usual shiny finish.  These fit a standard 1/4" round potentiometer shaft, each locking on with two set screws (included).  They are about 2.25" in diameter.  These would look amazing on your ham rig, guitar amp, or vintage radio.  Please see my pictures for details.

Those knobs would work perfectly on the 8th doctor console -- The circular 4 light fixtures center knob is that exact shape and size.
There are 3 locations on the console that use that fixture.

That is a good find for any one thinking of building the full size console.

Are they not also ideal for the larger faders on the Brachacki console?
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
