Quote from: Cardinal Hordriss on Jun 27, 2019, 12:40 pmWhy did his clothes change when he regenerated? It feels like something that may have been explained in non-canonical/expanded media...

It was the same with 4th Dr. His boots dissapeared to replaced by the socks and shoes.

Quote from: gerald lovell on Aug 14, 2019, 02:07 pmThanks for everyone's input.  Following Mike's suggestion of reflective gold motifs, I went ahead with that and the colouring result seems to have come out pretty well:

The trousers are really good. Where did you get them?

Quote from: mverta on Jul 01, 2019, 06:59 pmThe material used for the details appears to have a high sheen, almost foil-like surface; perhaps in the satin world.  The reflectivity is what makes their appearance so much more dependent on the lighting and surrounding environment for the look.  You can see this most clearly in the shot where the braces are twisted.  The highly diffuse cloth material for the strap maintains nearly uniform color/reflectance over its length whether facing the light or not, but the light-facing details are considerably brighter than their off-axis/twisted counterparts, which appear a sort of gray.  In fact, if I had to remake these details, they'd be either an extremely low-saturation gold or silver, and smooth, foil like material.

There are some photos where you see stitches. These would be cloth shaped as anything gold or silver would flare in the old black and white days. As for colour. Its yellow. Way back in TV comic days the artist colouresbthem in yellow. He would and did have had clear colour reference photos. Hope that helps if you decide to change your braces.
