why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

I thought this was the Mk2? How come the colour is light blue in silver nemesis and battlefield and then again in Survival and then back to the darker colour in ghost light and Fenric. Was the recording order Nemesis, battlefield and survival and then a repaint for the fenric and Ghostlight?

Ok thanks Tony, just read that and it says it is the newer prop in that story, ie the mark 2. Therefore that's inconsistent with what is stated at the top of this thread lol

"The Curse of Fenric (Production Code 7M):

Appearing only briefly, the Tardis is once more represented by the newer prop with the lock level with the door's central cross-rail and, just as it had throughout the previous season, the phone panel had the "ALL CALLS" wording and a handle to mimic the opening (functional) phone panel which had been fitted on the 'older' Tardis prop since "Delta and the Bannermen"

Also I see from the link that  the recording order was silvernemesis, happiness patrol, curse of Fenric, battlefield and survival.

If it was the mk 1 refurb in CoF why did the colour go from light blue in Nemesis, darker blue in fenric and then back to the exact same silver nemesis colour for battlefield and survival? Therefore I think it was the mk2 in COF as per your link. I also think ghostlight was the mk2 as it appears to be the darker colour.

Not being critical but I'm just finding it confusing, also very much enjoy these posts by Warmcanofcoke and frequently use them as reference as I am 3d printing all of the classic boxes and painting them with the correct colours.
I'm planning on printing at least 4 TYJ boxes. MK1, Mk1 Refurb Davison era colour, MK2 and MK1 Refurb Silver Nemesis livery.

You're right about Curse of Fenric being the Mark 2 box (sorry Nate - I didn't notice that 'error' in your listings) however, Ghostlight is the Mark 1 (refurbished) box - it is still fitted with the same wooden 'rear' doors as it was in the previous story Survival...

Presumably, the darker paintwork was thought to tie it into a quite 'dark' story line in just the same way as the second version of the box went from a mid-blue in Attack of the Cybermen to a dark grey-blue in Vengeance on Varos.
