Sort of makes this one difficult to comment on, but at least it shows how the PTO panel can be lit even though the inside of the door is solid. There is that little "light box" in the PTO door! And I love the handset; it looks like they've gone to using something close to an actual phone that we've seen in a real police box! (I'm really starting to like the way this TARDIS prop is progressing. Now if they would just go back to the Classic way of working the lamp on top...).

You can just make out the phone in some shots, like the handset it is vintage in appearance, like the one in the Character Options classic TARDIS toys.  The only unoriginal element is the flexible metal conduit.

It's a GPO 300 series telephone in case you were wondering. It's even got the correct blanking plate instead of a dialer.

True, however that ridiculously, increasingly long flexible conduit (rather than a normal curly phone cord) I think is intended more for comic effect rather than it being a practical "replica" of a real telephone of the police box era. For no matter how far away from the TARDIS the Doctor walked, that flexible conduit just grew and grew. The scene was almost as funny as his post-regeneration "I love apples... Apples are rubbish" scenes.)

Some interesting pictures of the prop prior to going out on location filming beginning of Series 5...

If this is the current prop they're using in Series 10, then it's still got the Series 8 Capaldi St. John Ambulance logo on the door. You can tell by the smaller-diameter inner black disc. I noticed it in a couple of episodes so far. It's definitely different than the (still) Series 7b logo used on the doors to the Console Room set.

Angelus Lupus

I don't know about the first two images, but the third one - based on the cliff and the wreckage behind - is from the Crash of the Byzantium, which was one of the first things filmed with the 2010 refurbed Tardis

I just fixed the post. This is the prop in the shop and out on the location before it was used for filming the "Time of the Angels" or whatever the first location shoots were for Series 5. My bad. Nothing to do with Series 10.

Thanks for clarifying that, David. (Just so I know it wasn't me. ;)) And yes; "The Time Of Angels"/"Flesh And Stone" were the first two episodes of the Series 5 recording blocks. They were also among the first publicity photos of Matt Smith on location and had almost every cosplayer touting this as his costume, and running out to find a Harris Tweed jacket, which Matt Smith only wore in three episodes: the two already mentioned, and "Victory Of The Daleks". He wore the Donegal Tweed jacket for the rest of Series 5.

That's got to be a strange feeling... filming your character as having already been established before you film your character's establishing first appearance.
