Hi Marc,

Great work on the table from you guys......

A couple of comments if I may:

1. I'm with Nate, the Timelash and Mysterious Planet models are completely separate boxes with entirely separate geometries.

2a. The large model used in Logopolis is as near as dammit 1:3 in scale (compare it to photos of the original 1:3 Shawcraft Model Box seen with people sat on it to screen-grabs of the Logopolis Box with various people kneeling/crouching by it - the model boxes are almost the same size.)
2b. The model used in the publicity shots from The Planet of Fire is the same 1:3 model as used in Logopolis. (The 1:3 model does not appear in the transmitted episodes of Planet of Fire at all.)

And, as an aside, I agree with Jonathan/Markofrani: The 1964 Shawcraft (Model 2) - what is currently being referred to as scale 1:5 - is clearly not 1:5 at all; it is half the size of the 1:3 Shawcraft Model which equates to it being 1:6.  :)

T

(Edited to use the "Shawcraft" designation as specified in Marc's table for this topic.)

We know the size of the Timelash box.

Quote from: Kevin Spencer on Jan 11, 2019, 08:35 pm

It's approx. 9 inches high, very light in weight and has no opening parts or lighting etc. Not sure what it is made of. Could be wood (balsa), plastic or fibreglass.

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

One model TARDIS which is less well-known is the teeny-tiny version used on the large Pyramid model set for The Daleks' Master Plan (note the hand, for scale). This is the original landing point, as would have been seen to match the studio in Golden Death:

Yet another Tardis.

Are these two the same TARDIS ?

Just a quick thought, what about the box that was dropped down the mineshaft in Mark of the Rani? I can't imagine they dropped the real prop down there!

I'm going to hazard a guess that it's either the Mat Irvine or the Timelash box.

After reviewing http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=9560 I don't think it is either of those boxes .... I'm willing to be proved wrong.

Oh, well.... live and learn. Not the Timelash box after all.

There's a model TARDIS take-off at the end of The Ice Warriors.

Don't have the DVD to hand but think it might be the smaller Shawcraft one...?
