So I've been studying boxes again after a couple of years off, and one thing I've never been able to work out if the serif typefaces on the early info sign, transitional era top signs, and possibly the later info signs are all some variant of the same typeface (or just a print of custom lettering), and if it IS, what this typeface is. For example:

Transitional Top Sign Daws Lane.jpg

The main things that stick out to me about this typeface is that a serif extends out towards the left of the letter A, the middle stem of the E extending out beyond the top and bottom stems, and the serif at the bottom right of the U.

The Mark 3 info sign has a number of differences, like how it lacks the bottom right serif on the U, but there's other aspects that make me wonder if it was derived from the same set.
