A very nice lady posted over at the old Outpost Gallifrey of how she met a couple of Tardis wranglers in the Roald Dahl Plas who were erecting the NST for a photoshoot.

Besides the generally dilapidated condition of the box which the guys commented upon, they had inside a pot of paint which they use for touch ups. The tester pot was Wickes "Oceania" paint. Perhaps useful for anyone's NST build.

The first hero prop in the first episode of Season One had several variations of blue, I believe 7 is correct, followed by a glazing of some sorts.  I don't recall the name of this glazing, I think it was Endenton or something like that.  I know there was a post on a thread a while back.  Nonetheless, after that episode, the TARDIS was repainted per the directors request in a standard 'TARDIS' blue color followed by a wash a black to add weathering which darkens the blue.  That's really about all I know from various conversations in the past.  If anyone else knows more feel free to share.

Jon~

If I'm not mistaken, Purple has mentioned (and used himself) a custom paint mixture is used for the NSTs, so that may not be that real paint's name, but probably a can they used to pour the touch-up paint in.  This color may be part of the mix, however.

I do know Purp did have a thread under 'The TARDIS Builders Workshop' on the mixture of colours to make something close to the NST, but I do believe that thread was deleted prior to the board coming under new management.  It was quite a pity.  Perhaps this is the actual colour though.  It would be nice to see a swatch of it...
