Well i thought i had finished then old girl, but it's funny how things keep cropping up isn't it?

Hudolin 1996 Door Lock, i am getting 1 made, hopefully to fit the TARDIS Key replica that you find floating about, but has anyone got/made 1 before that can give me some advice/ schematics on the subject prior to the start of the lock being made?  Thanks Party People  :D

I've understood that the pewter key, beacuse its in pewter, is actually pretty useless as a key.

Its too soft, you see. In my wallet (as it has been for long periods) it tends to bend a bit, but I believe that it would bend a LOT when turned in a lock (unless there was next to no resistance in there).

So in principle you might have to get a new key machined...

At least one of the keYs in the TVM was made of steel, likely for the lock opening scene.

I have had TARDIS keys 3D printed in stainless steel. I modeled the 4th and 7th Doctor keys. They came out pretty well. Something like that would work for you, I agree pewter isn't strong enough.

I have been thinking about doing this for my console.

I had this machined up for my Tardis, the keys are steel items I found on ebay:
