For what it's worth,
Spoiler
Clayton Hickman has said it's accurate to the Brachacki Altered on Twitter.

Post in "Brachacki Altered".... Well that hasn't given the game away at all, has it..... :(
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

Whoops, I didn't think about that...   :-\

Spoiler
Altered Brachacki + David Bradley as Doc 1 does suggest he's from between The War Machines and Tenth Planet. The snow would also fit that theory... Unless there's also one (or more) post-First-Doc-Altered-Brachacki-Tardis-users involved? But that would be too far, even for Moffat. I just hope this isn't Moffat dialling his 'fanwank' up to 11 with some sort of 'The Doctor is important to his own past regeneration'
Another thought: doesn't this spit in the eye of the 50th anniversary special, which was egregiously devoid of classic Doctors?

My theory is -

Spoiler
The end of The Doctor Falls is Antarctica, the first Doctor doesn't want to regenerate, it's his first time, he's scared, so the TARDIS brings the current Doctor who is refusing to regenerate to see his first self, they have an adventure, realize it's time to let go, first Doctor makes it back before Ben and Polly reach the TARDIS. Mondas is the link too of course. I liked the use of the Richard Hurndall quote "the original you might say" from The Five Doctors as that was the first time the first Doctor was recast as another actor.

I speak to you from the final days of Gallifrey. I am the past you have forgotten. You are the future I will not live to see...

Spoiler
Ok, time for the Brachacki refit experts to cast their eyes over the two sides we can see and pass judgement. Looks good to me, but it obviously begs the question: if they can make this one so accurate, what was up with the AAISAT box? I will say this: looking at the two side-by-side, I see elements I like on each, even if neither is my favourite Tardis.

This is fabulous! I'm making some inferences here (I don't know anything about this that hasn't already been posted on the forum), but I think some congratulations may soon be in order... :)
I'm sure a story will unfold.

(Yay!)

Well, from what I can see of it (though I admit the image is a little pixelated, or grainy), they've missed out the drip sills on the side window frames. And I know Tony will correct me if I'm wrong on this next observation, without a good reference image in the Brachacki Altered Section, the side that should be the rear of the prop - from what I could see in the early reference images from "Power Of The Daleks" - the rear Top Sign should be reverse-colored, just like the front Top Sign: frosted background with blue lettering... unless that came later and we still had the white lettering on black background in "The Tenth Planet", and that color scheme carried over into the early days of the Troughton era. (I tried looking at the stills from "Tenth Planet", but couldn't see any lettering on either of the two sides, one of which was the front. Both Top Signs looked solid grey in those stills so they were really no help at all.)

But other than that? I'm with you on the rest of your comment, Angelus.

Incidentally, this topic is already under spoiler control, so no-one is going to see spoilers here without knowing what they're getting into. So putting spoiler tags in your posts on this topic is redundant.
The ones you see around these posts in the Recent Posts page for this topic are added in that context by the forum software. So if you add your own, people will have to click twice...

Spoiler
Is it just me, or is the overhang on the replica far less severe than the actual prop?

Also, now we know that
Spoiler
the First Doctor is appearing in the special

, so is the spoiler protection needed?

Scarfwearer

This topic is completely and automatically under spoiler control. You don't need to add spoiler tags to your posts on this topic, because anyone who's avoiding spoilers will already not be seeing anything you post on this topic.

The use of spoiler control is not because of what information is publicly available at this point to people who care to scour the internet for tidbits about what's to come, it is because people who still wish to avoid spoilers about the xmas story will be avoiding this topic because it is tagged with the spoiler protection. This is so they don't see things by accident.

For those of us who don't like spoilers, it's sometimes difficult in the modern world to avoid them. The purpose of spoiler protection is so that we on TardisBuilders don't make it any more difficult. Just because it's possible to run across these spoilers elsewhere, we don't assume that people have.

Broadening it a bit:
This is actually another good reason not to discuss the contents of episodes on this site. We're here to build props - the events of stories are generally not relevant to that. Since most people haven't seen all Doctor Who episodes, any discussion of the events of episodes will be a spoiler for someone.
Even a picture of a prop from some ancient episode is somewhat of a spoiler for people who haven't seen the story - that's unavoidable. But we try to avoid making it any worse than we have to, and the best way to do that is not to talk about the events of the episodes themselves. Since we're all Doctor Who fans that's something many of us would be happy to do late into the night, on many other websites. Just not here... It's not just irrelevant and off topic, it's actually 'spoilers' and will reduce other people's enjoyment of the stories.

Assuming you mean the roof overhang above the front/rear sign boxes:
The roof on the original Brachacki Altered prop was generally not locked in position, but just sat on top for a lot of its life. Even after they added scenery hinges to hold it on, they often didn't put in the loose pins, so the roof was frequently off-centre and/or slightly rotated, and the hinge halves were often misaligned. So the roof overhang was not generally a constant, but depended on where the scenery guys placed the roof on the particular day.

Difficult to say. I'm not close enough to read what's going on inside that twisted head of yours! ;D

Is that normal?

Mmm... ::) probably not, by most peoples' standards. (But then, we're not "most people".)
