I'm going to make two of these props, one a static prop, & the other will have blinking red & white LED's. Activated via the trigger panel.

I started off with a block of wood & cut a center slit into the top & drawn out the estimated parts, like the trigger panel, how far the metal panel go's into the handle, & rivet points.

I made a cardboard template of the metal bars, looking back at the screencaps I needed to shorten the width of the handle.

Time to cut some metal. ;D

When cutting something out of metal, always cut the middle section first. It makes thing a whole lot easier than clamping down a small aria & having your cutting tool slice threw whatever your using to hold down the small piece.

I used my drimel to smooth the prickly metal shaving sides.

I used a plastic egg for the dish & wood dowel & ball for the emitter. I don't have any large rivets so I have to make do with bolts.
Anyone know were I can find long snap on rivets or screw on rivets?

I cut the panel & drilled a hole to make room for the dish & wood emitter.

The metal baring at the top, I couldn't find any ball bearings so I used a plastic bead. I cut a slit in the center & stuck it on the top of the gun panel with some JB weld glue.

I forgot to mention, my handle had a knot in it & broke free when I was drilling the bolt holes. I'm trying to seal it back up with some wood putty. If that doesn't work I'll have to cut up another handle.

The trigger panel, for this prop, is make of aluminum from a soda can, held in place by a piece of leftover hanger wire from my Dalek gun project.

Now that's finished I'll be making another, one that lights up.  ;D
