This is my first attempt at a TARDIS, it is a somewhat altered Smith/Capaldi TARDIS. Altered because I had to be able to build it and fit it in my downstairs kitchen which was just gutted and under construction itself. It is also portable. It breaks down into 20 parts that can fit in the back of my S-10. Also, it lights up. IMG_1938.JPG

First things first, I built the base. I used 2x4's laid on end. I cut a bevel on the inside which created a lip that I could lay the plywood floor on It was cut in about 1 inch and 3/4" deep so the plywood would be flush with the top. I also cut an angled bevel on the outside. I quickly learned that the plywood flexed too much (I thought such a small surface would not flex as much) so I used scrap wood to make a spacer in the bottom center of the floor. I should probably emphasize that I've only done basic carpentry up to this point and learned a massive amount during this build.IMG_1777.JPG
