As you can see from the Map overlay that Cambridge Street has since become cut off from Lothian Road. However the Box has stayed in the same place since installation in 1932. Although the road is now gone, and the side walk has made this more of a pedestrian space in front of Usher Hall.

This Box has now become a food stall as of 2014, under the brand The Counter that owns three Police Boxes and a narrow Boat. They own A14 Tollcross, and the Morningside Park Food Kiosk which was never a real box location.
As modifications go this is fairly light. The front is untouched as far as I can tell, they decided to chop up the two back panels to open toward the crowds. So there aren't a lot of extra holes in this one, which is nice.
