Very nice indeed.  I like the lock location, step at bottom of door and shiny (reflective!) paint work.

Thought I'd share this wonderful picture I have of a very early Tardis type Police Box.
This might even have been a special mock-up version for the exhibition, possibly made of wood rather than concrete. Also the colour looks to be very light?

Fabulous picture and Police Box.   There are some properly classic designs in the world, and the Met Box is one.   Is it known who originally designed the Mk1?

I think the consensus is Gilbert Mackenzie-Trench, although the consensus is also that the original 1963 TARDIS prop was retired after it collapsed on Liz Sladen at the end of "Seeds of Doom" and that is apparently a myth.
