Grosvenor Square Police Post

I notice that the US embassy in London is having some work done. Does anyone know if the Police post in front of it (one of the last with an original door panel) will still be there when they have finished? Or will the Amercians destroy that too??

It was moved because the Americans didn't want the Road in front of the embassy anymore.

That's not an original door panel, and the Police Post sign certainly isn't!!

I suggest you might want to change the title of this topic to something like "Grosvenor Square Police Post" as otherwise it is a bit too generic.

There are going to be a whole lot of Police Post topics when all of them get tagged to the database, so a bit more specificity will help the casual viewer out a lot.

The current location is somewhere around 10 feet or so from its original position. It was moved from the other side of the pathway and rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. They narrowed the closed off roadway a little, but it still seems a bit further away from the original curb line as well.
