Any bigger versions on the original web site Richard?
I like the way it's all on its own in an open area (could be the "real" tardis!)  ;D

No bigger versions at all unfortunately.

I was looking at trolley bus pics when this came up.

It's on Black Prince Road, or so the link says.

Richard.

This is M2 at the northeast corner of the junction of Kennington Lane and Kennington Road, Lambeth - aka Kennington Cross - unusually, not on the island with the underground lavatory entrance that was also at this junction.

The building on the left is the Granada Cinema, which was indeed on Black Prince Road, at the junction with Kennington Road. The nearest part of the building is still there, but most of it looks to have been replaced by flats.

Tram lines are still there running up Kennington Road in this photo, so this is no later than 1952 or early 1953 (last trams ran on 5 July 1952, but it took many months for the tracks to all be taken up, which is why they were still visible in Genevieve, despite the filming for it taking place in late 1952).
