Indoor room-divider TARDIS

I couldn't wait, I had to build something, but I'm working to my budget and space restraints.

The plan is to have two sides that fold together and stand in a corner of my living room, as a divider screen that looks like a box from the right angle.

The scale evolved from the size of the materials. It's made from sheets of corflute and balsa wood, with some glue and tissue (toilet) paper for filler. Tools so far include a Stanley knife and sanding block.

Christmas present from a year or two ago. $60AU from the Reject shop I think. Wish I could say I made it, but I turned the box into a cardboard one the same size (because why not?).

New house and yard. Additional shufflings in finance. I won't be building a second wall. I'm calling this my finished practice TARDIS. The sides are made from beer boxes (something of a trend in my projects). Looking at the final shape, I'm now on the lookout for a bookcase to fit under the back overhang.

Next stop is a full size Newbery box or a Santa sleigh.

It seems I never got around to showing my TARDIS in its regular home. I liked the way the sunlight crept in this afternoon, after a little touch-up of paint last week, so here she is.
