ROBLOX TARDIS Exteriors

Alright, so, the other day I started building TARDIS Police Box exteriors on ROBLOX from the actual plans of that prop. All the decals (signs, etc) for these police boxes come from Borusa, or http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?action=profile;u=4382 as he is known here, so thanks to him. I started with Newbery:


This was actually one of my first police boxes so, as you can see, it is not particularly great. The day after I built the Hudolin box:


This was of a lot higher quality in my opinion and did actually resemble the prop used in the '96 TV Movie. Next came the first Richmond/Thomas box:


This too looked OK, so I was pleased with this prop. To create the Smith box, only minor colour changes and a different lamp were needed:


I also created the police box used for Peter Capaldi, which was just a little brighter and not as wooden:


Afterwards, I edited the Eccleston box to create one for the War Doctor:



I hope you like these ROBLOX exteriors. I understand they're not the best and people on here have done a lot better.

So I realised that the lamp on my Richmond/Thomas box was very inaccurate, so I rebuilt it.

Due to the bad quality of the first Newbery, I decided to rebuild it. Here are some pictures of my building process:

I built the Tom Yardley Jones police box earlier to further compelete my collection. Again, here are some pictures of my building:

I am pleased with how it turned out although I may rebuild it in the future in order to make it more accurate. I also believe that it looks better and more authentic in black and white, so I took some pictures in B&W too:

I was informed by http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?action=profile;u=5957 that the Brachacki exterior was inaccurate, as it was not wooden, nor did it have a handle. The fresnel lamp was also wrong. So I changed these things to make the box more accurate. Revised version:

In the early days (Season 1), the Brachacki did have a Fresnel lens in the roof lamp, so that could always go back. It was in Season 2 when they replaced the lens with a frosted perspex cylinder. And yes, there was no handle on this TARDIS (some stuck footage from the unaired Pilot explains the discontinuity because the TARDIS did have a handle in the Pilot; some of the models also had handles on them further adding to that discontinuity.

The prop itself was actually made from wood, but it was coated with a texturing "paint" called Artex to give it the look of concrete. And then it was painted in an almost dark slate blue and given a wash of who knows what other shades of blue and black to "dirty her down".

Take a browse through the http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?board=43.0 Child Board in the TARDIS Reference Section. There are some threads in there with nice color candid and publicity photos if the Old Girl. That should help you out some with the coloring and texturing. (And if you're making her the Season 1 version, keep the Fresnel lens; if you're making the Season 2 on version with the frosted perspex cylinder for a "lens", then depending on which Season you're going for, you'll have to make the lamp cap square with an almost half-sphere dome in its center.) I took the regular Brachacki prop I made and changed the roof and colouring to create the altered Brachacki prop used from the end of the First Doctor up until a little into the Fourth Doctor. Here is the regular prop:

To complete my collection of the police boxes used in the show, I edited my Newbery TARDIS to replicate the altered Newbery used in Logopolis as the regular police box/The Master's TARDIS. Here it is:
