Awesome work. I love the eye plate.

I'm slowly replacing stuff in my K-9 with 3d printed parts. I didn't have a printer during the initial build.

Can't believe it's coming up to TWO YEARS since I updated this project ... it had been put on the backburner for a little while, because of life stuff, but I'm in the process of restarting some of the elements, so *some* progress is better than none at all! :)

After teaching myself a bit of based 3D CAD, and a lot of guesswork from several hundred shots of K9, I'm going to have the following pieces 3D printed with the intention of processing the parts (to get them as smooth as possible), make silicone moulds, then cast from resin.

Feels like a bit of a cop-out going down the 3D print route, but I'm aiming for an 'idealised' version of K9, so hopefully this will help my to achieve that machined look.

Oh, and for the record, I'll be using https://www.3dhubs.com/ for the 3D printing work (have used them before - much better value than Shapeways)... I'll share pics once they've been delivered.

Is it permissible to ask about the STL files?
