As you're UK based, it would be interesting to know how much your bill for materials works out to be. I'm asking for purely selfish reasons as I have a smallish back garden that could just about accommodate a Tardis (though I do have a Console to complete first)!

Day 18 Continued

Here are some photos of the progress of the roof which I forgot to upload yesterday.


At this rate, the roof may be fully materialized on the next day.

The roof is so close to being done.

Right now were are just getting the trickiest part which we believe is the top of the roof done first.

Thanks for your comments. It took a lot of luck and a lot of patients to make the top part of the roof.

Now we need to make the bottom layer thicker and add other detail. But I think the hardest part will be getting the roof on top of the TARDIS.

Day 20

The adjustments on the bottom layer of the roof have been made. It is now thinker and looks more like the roof now. All the extra detail will be added when the roof has been placed on the top which will probably be done this weekend.

With more detail comes more weight to carry.

Those corners where the roof panels come together are astounding, LMC! How did you manage that? (They look tighter than a duck's bum, and that's watertight! - another of my Uncle's phrases.) Seriously, those roof panels meet so snugly it looks like you took one piece of soft wood and just form-fitted it in place. Those must be some carpentry skills you've got there!

While we wait for the weekend, we have started work on the wall panels.

Day 21 Continued

Well, the day ended with a lot of progress. The left wall has nearly fully materialized. We started with the left wall first as it is close to the bushes so we wanted to get it over and done with.


Won't be long until this wall is done. Then we can move on to the other wall and also finish the roof.
