Definitely a much happier looking Police Box now. :)

Looks like they fixed the damage on the back, top area.

Thank you for this. How very pleasing to know.

She looks very regal now!

Hi, I had spoken to the new curator with Kent Police earlier in the year and the restoration of the box was discussed then. I must admit I am pleased with the result. Now to restore another a box!  :)  Kind regards, Ward

I've just read an article on www.doctorwhonews.net that this Police Box is due to be removed in August and returned back to Scotland. This is due to the closure of the Kent Police Museum at the dockyard. There are plans to move the museum to Maidstone, but without the box.

So if you want to go and see it at the Chatham Dockyard, you've got until August to do so.

Just to confirm, this box has now been removed :-(

Had to go to the docks for work yesterday and had forgotten the Police Box was going to be removed. I walked round the corner expecting to see her stood there but she was gone :-(

This is the sort of thing that hits you like a kick in the gut. I would hope she was relocated to a good home - like at a museum - but if some horrible fate befell her, I'd rather not hear about it. :(

I hate it when people have no regard for history or historic items. >:(

As it is one of Ward's boxes, I would say it is in very safe hands, and will likely be re-deployed somewhere in Glasgow in the future.

Thanks for the great news, teppic! I feel much better about it now. :) Hopefully we'll see some nice photos of the box once the Old Girl is re-deployed.
