The beginning! Making a start on the main levers. I've decided to use laser cut perspex to make them...

That looks beautiful!!

How did you do the curved surface on the top?
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

Oh, my giddy aunt!

You've excelled yourself Jonathan. What a lovely main lever!

Thanks for the comments. TBH I must admit I was quite pleased with how they've turned out.
The curved surface is just layers of 10mm thick Perspex laser cut to a pdf I supplied. The only slight problem with this method is that the Perspex can vary in thickness by around 1.5mm, so I've had to bulk out the lever housing with styrene to get the correct width.
Now to sand, prime and paint....

Oh I see! I feel a bit foolish now  (hadn't quite woken up when I saw it earlier.  I was imagining every face as a separate piece.....  This of course makes much more sense :)

Beautiful pieces.  I'm a little ahead of you on some other things, so let me know if I can help.  I have extra parts here and there.

Tony, you've taken the words right out of my mouth! (Jonathan, are you going to laser cut the small red disc for the center of the knob on the Panel 6 Lever, or use paint or red sticky tape? I'm still not sure exactly what they used on the original; all I know is that the red wore away slowly during the Hartnell years.)

And like David said, I want a laser cutter now! (And the room to fit one... not to mention a supply of perspex of varying thicknesses. That 10 mm thick stuff is thicker than anything I've ever come across; but then all of the scraps I've ever found have been from scrounging.)

I think you've also found a place on the Envy(small).jpg meter now! Both levers look terrific!

Here's the finished basket for the 'Parabolic Array' as Tony has named it.
This was a bit scary cutting out the holes, especially as this item is incredibly hard to find. Only one chance to get this right...

OMG that is so beautiful - I was pondering how to make this control for my Arc of Infinity console. I have tons of acrylic in storage ..... I was over thinking ...... You are an inspiration. Thank you.
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.
