Unfortunately, the more I look at it the more I doubt it was actually J50.
 the Box.

So the search continues. 

Could this be T18 as its less than 1 1/2 miles from Shepperton Studios and the photo and map

look promising. The "other" road sign, mentioned on page 1,

looks more "Devil's End" than Ministry Of Transport.

I wounder if the ETL Electricity Transmission Line was added some time after 1952 when the film
was made as thats the only thing I don't see in the film frame.

No ETL on 1938 map but shown on 1961 map.

No...I don't think it is.... 
As the road lay out doesn't match up IMHO
It's more of a sharp bend that a continuous road with a right turn..
Also I think the overhead National Grid was completed just before the War (1938) with a few additions built in 1942
