Did you render it or was it a screen grab?

It was a quicky I knocked together a couple of years back to go with the Centauri I did. It was handy so I slapped it on the scanner. There's no proper detail on it.

A different angle

In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

Last one before the console reveal

Nice touch with the wooden chair!

The details are superb, I love the reflections in the polished wood, it would be a bugger to physically make. Do we get to see the main doors as well? (A plan view wouldn't go amiss, you know if you've nothing better to do on a rainy bank holiday weekend  :D )

I also love that Knossos throne :)

It really wouldn't be that hard to make at all. I've designed it with that in mind. It'd probably be a lot simpler than some of the real versions seen in the show since 2005.

Is that what that is? All these years that has been bugging me... :)

I really like where this is going. Bits of it are a bit season 14 secondary console room-y, which is always a good thing. Bits of it are also a bit Myst-y, which is also a good thing.

The season 14 console room was very Art Deco, in spite of the "Edwardian" label. The stained glass, the quadrants around the scanner and the table in the corner, pure Deco. I've no idea about Myst though, I've never been a gamer.

Makes sense. There's something in particular about the way those stairs around your room with their wooden "wings" thematically echo the secondary console room steps by the door that I really like. Also makes me think of old bakelite radios, those heavy braided telephone cables, and serried rows of softly glowing vacuum tubes. I can almost smell the beeswax.

I'm told by people who know about such things that various Myst games had elements of steampunk, dieselpunk, art deco and art nouveau in its designs. I just really like the whole "Myst" look.
