Thanks guys-

Ciderman, you are too kind!

Steve-  are you seriously telling me you want to see me naked, draped over a Dalek?!  :o

Looking at Katy's Instagram again really highlights the advantages of the high gloss dark blue early 1960s paintjob.  You've got some great weathering on that box and you don't need to add any blacks or browns or greens to show it off.  The reflection of the glossy dark paint makes it work.

That said, the all-blue [of my repainted box] is quite growing on me again.  Although I may have to bugger off down to Lowe's and have them mix up some more flat "Dutch Licorice."  Because PPG satin "Blueberry Pie" is too blue.  Although if I made a console with a Blueberry Pi processor...

Hi Volpone,

You are right, Katy's picture does show off my old girl to her best!
I do have to say, that photo was taken by a professional photographer who used one of those big shiny reflective disk thingys to light up the shot & that really picks out the colour & the weathering etc.

Seeing the photos he took really highlighted the difference between a professional photographer & a chancer like me taking pics on his mobile!

Russell

I hired a photographer for a business venture, once upon a time and during shooting he'd go "I used to wonder how people managed to get this effect.  Then I got this lens..."  The right equipment and the right technical knowledge takes it to a whole new level.

Oh dear god! Someone pass me the mind bleach!!!!

How many times did you crack that gag when she was posing with the Daleks?

russellsuthern

Ha!
Be careful what you wish for....

Several people suggested Katy recreate her iconic pose, but I felt it unwise to offer my own services... ;D

(They had just eaten lunch...)

Yup...I have to admit, with all due modesty, that I am indeed in DWM again!
People are going to think I'm slipping a fiver in with every letter!

Hey guys,

Our local Dr Who group, "Diva Loka", had another Q & A at my hall.
The guest of honour this time was the legend that is Waris Hussein!
He was great & had some fab stories to tell.
It was such buzz to have my TARDIS & Daleks be the backdrop to this event.
Waris was instrumental to the birth of an institution!

Here's some pics I hope you like:

Wow... Lucky you!

(With Waris Hussein and Katy Manning having been in your hall with your Tardis... I'm wondering wether if you have a shortlist of famous people you are luring into taking a picture with you and your Tardis)
Oh my giddy aunt!!

Really, the Doctor has a creepy side, offering people candy to lure them into a box and cart them off to who knows where.
