So after comparing my panel to this image:
panelComposite.jpg

I've decided I need to trim about an inch from both sides of each of my panels.

What do you guys think?

Guess I need to stop work for now.
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Saw these on FB first, how splendid! Can't wait to see more!

Spent some time figuring out the top rows of buttons and knobs. I found an arrangement I'm pleased with.

Well, it does look like you've got some extra room on the sides, and on the actual prop it looks like the sides of the recess where the panels are mounted angle in somewhat. I might not take a whole inch from both sides just yet: maybe a half-inch to start. And then see how the panel fits into the console's recess and trim more as needed. (It's always easier to trim more off than it is to put a cut piece back on.)

Trying to decide if I can live with the non-uniformity.

Nate, I know this image is posted on here somewhere, but since I can't find it because I'm looking for it, here it is again:

Ignoring the other panels, looking at that odd panel with the round lights/buttons on it, the buttons are in a more uniform pattern. You could try that pattern if you don't like the pattern on the one you've made.

I know I've got another version of this in my computer somewhere, from when I was playing around with it some years ago. I'll keep poking around until I find it and try to post it tomorrow so you can see which one you like better.

I hope this is helpful.

That graphic doesn't match this image.

However I have decided to redo the panel.

Didn't we come to the conclusion that the panels may have been reordered during Season 14?

Much happier with the replacement Panel. It just needs some grinding to reposition a couple of lights but so much better than the first attempt.

Not sure, but I may want to trim these by a tiny amount. But I will do it a little later after I've thought about it.

Yeah, I knew that other graphic wasn't a match to that overhead shot from "Robots of Death", but it was the only one I could find at the moment. Your new panel looks great, and I did find that other version I played around with a while back (again going by the "Robots of Death" grab). That drawing I made was on the other computer, which is why I couldn't find it on this one. (I really need to sync them at some point.)

So, since you're happy with your revisions I'll just keep my drawing on this computer in waiting for the next time someone needs another option. (I don't want to have you second-guessing things because of too many options to choose from.)

Everything is looking great. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the structure come together!

The panels are looking great. My cats are named Harry Sullivan and Sarah Jane Smith. This console is a great design for people with limited space. I look forward to more updates!
