So this is a little project I put together a few weeks ago, inspired by a guy I met in a model railway show, who said to me: "If you can't have it, make a model". So I decided to make the Baker console room as seen in seasons 15 through 17, using a laser cutter and MDF.

I used as my plans for the walls the original set plan  found here:http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=3486.0 (with slight modifications), Tony Farrell's plan for the Sharp console (https://kasterborous.co.uk/ebook-build-your-own-tardis-console-pertwee/), with the control diagrams being a simplified version of Lespaceplie's design (found here:  http://doctorwhoscarf.com/techmanual/s15_panels.pdf).

The doors can open and are sanded at an 8ยบ angle for clearance.

The columns have slots for the walls.

Here's the console. It mostly follows Tony Farrell's plan, with some alterations due to the wood thickness. The panels are a simplified version from Lespaceplies's diagram.

The time rotor are just some Lego pieces lying on top of the collar loosely secured by a rod. I struggled to figure out how to make a time rotor, and I just used the Lego pieces as a placeholder to get the general idea. It is far from being perfect, but I've warmed up to it, and it will remain for the time being.

Here's a shot through the doors, to see how the interior may have been seen when entering the Tardis.

And one last shot of the console room.

That's about it for this build. Hope you liked it, and have a nice day/Tardis building/jelly baby.

Oh my giddy aunt!!

Really like this.

If it was me, (its not!) I would have made the time rotor out of MDF too, and lasered the 'insides' onto it.
