2013_Console_Room.jpg

A screen grab from Google maps of the Tardis. A good base for modifying.

I was wondering if there was any other photos of the series 8 backdrop anywhere?

Someone could adapt a screencap from the opening of "Listen"?

I did these renders a couple weeks back -

Hope this helps.

I used the Smith one for torrans 7B exterior model.

Amazing. I was wondering where you got your profile picture from and now I realise.

Do you think you could do some renders of these interiors Torran like the previous ones? They look much lively looking. :)

That was nice to see, turns out I know someone who knows him and they sent me a picture of it and I noticed it straight away.

Oops, my mistake!
Anyways, would a HQ Render of these like the previous ones be possible?
I'd love to use these on my newest mesh! The render of this one is spot on, more glowing blue/orange gives it a more realistic render.

Cheers!

Hey Jonathan,

I can indeed get them done for you! Been recently given the rest of the smaller furniture, cupboards and books and general clutter that line the upper catwalk soo it will add a more real touch.

Did you want the glow?

I've kind of gotten used to the amber glow of the column and console plinth. At first I didn't care for it. I liked the amber ambience of the 2005 and 2010 sets, and thought the 2013/2014 set would look better with the blue-green column and console plinth, but with more of an amber glow coming from the roundels along the catwalk and ceiling's large round spots (ceiling roundels?).

But then I got to thinking of all the changes the column lighting has gone through over the last 50 years:
-white in the Hartnell era;
-green filters added to the light tubes sometime in the Troughton era;
-green/yellow in the early Pertwee era;
-red (with bright lights - almost looking amber - shining though the tubes) in the late Pertwee/early Tom Baker era;
-red (with a single pinkish light in the tube) in the late Tom Baker/early Davison era;
-red and white alternating from "The Five Doctors" on;
-"cool white" with a hint of bluish in the 1996 TVM;
-greenish in the Eccleston/Tennant era (2005-2009);
-"cool white" light shining down from above for the 2010 console;
-back to blue-green in 2013 for the rest of the Matt Smith era;
-so, why not back to amber-ish for the 2014 redecorating?

The amber does give the room a warmer, homier feeling. And after all, the TARDIS is "home" (in a way, to all of us, I think).
