With all the various boxes being discussed, I admit Im vague on this box and its history.

Any information folks?

Hi,

There is a thread and some pictures about this box somewhere around here.

I'll have a hunt when I get a sec and post a link, unless someone gets there before me!

There are a lot of references pages out there, but I generally find this one to be the best and most concise for detailing all the little changes through the years:

From what I gather this prop was made by Ealing film studios for use when ever a police box was required.

It was stored and either forgot or not needed until it resurfaced in the 30 years in the TARDIS documentary.

After that it was bought by The Sun Newspaper and used a couple of times for cheesey non Who stories before it was put into a competition to be one by a lucky reader.

It turned up I believe at an auction and now belongs in a private collection. Not been seen since.

Concise, but that is my recollection. I did find some picture posted by G Foyle back on the old version of this site but struggling with anything else

The box was purchased by Tom Baker's agency and refurbished with a new roof.
