Hello All,

Like River Song, I have got my timeline a little backtofrontwards, got it in my head a couple of days
ago to doctor up the front door for All Hollows Eve, and i did get it completed in time to sit here
eating my chocolates as the neighborhood urchins are either too religious or too scared to actually
come asking for treats. Pity, I was thinking of giving them handfuls of dry cat food as a trick.

And then of course, having cobbled it together out of bits and pieces, I found this website, where I
think some may get to enjoy the doormods. This is still a build in progress, now its fiddling with the printer
and the paint job to get it just right, but i'm kinda proud of where it got to so far.

And now without further ado ..

It occurred to me as I perused the fantastic build library, that i made a mistake with
my windows... although i quite liked the look of the 3x3 grid, i obviously had to correct
it.  The good thing about wood glue and basswood is a gentle tap will dislodge the horizontals, and
they are now in the right placement.
(the corners of the window frame would be a little trickier, they have cutoff finishing nails used as
dowels as well as the wood glue)

(3/8 inch square bass wood dowels, from HD)

Assembled the frame within the window box to maintain dimensions, to acomodate for my millimeter
drift here and there, and to provide a support within which to build

Good job - a fast build and great conversion of an existing door.   Shame no-one came to appreciate it on the day but we'll give you a round of applause!!

Cheers, Glen

You'd be surprised how often that happens with windows :)

Great door!
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.
