Kingpin, once again you send us into sensory overload with your superb screen grabs!

Thanks Dino. :)

And I have a few more from a Guardian piece with Mark Gatiss:

Apologies about the blurriness of some shots, unfortunately I couldn't simply pause the video as it irritatingly plastered a "II" smack-bang in the middle of the video. :(

Great grabs, Kingpin! (Not too blurry at all.) What teases me the most about this console is those little strip labels. I so wish we were able to get a clear look at what they all say. I know the original only had plain black strips and it would be nice to know which labels correlated with the Hartnell console drawings in the DWM article, and which ones were "artistic license" labels.

After pottering around on Flickr for TARDIS console pictures, I stumbled across one that showed a certain pair of labels for this one, that I don't believe anyone has commented on.

I love those "in nods" they give to people as a tribute. It makes me wonder how many others are hidden on this console (and what all of those other labels read - like that one panel on ST: TNG's Enterprise that listed all of the Doctors' actors at the time, from Hartnell to at least Colin Baker - can't remember if McCoy was listed; I'd have to dig for that thread and find the image to refresh my memory). And looking back at those images, the more I hope to see David Bradley and the actor playing Pat Troughton appearing in one of the 12th Doctor episodes at some point.

(Like so many other fans, I'm just counting the days until Moffat steps away from the show.)

I just noticed another difference between the AAiSaT console and the original one.
Original panel (the one with the telepathic circuits on it:

The AAiSaT version looks a lot more bare to me...

Well, if you thought the AAIS&T version looked bare when compared to how the actual Console looked at the end of the Troughton era, compare both these versions to how it started life:

It's almost the same but there seems to be more space at the top....

Agreed but, the original had the 'circuit board' strips. Also, on the AAIS&T Console the Round Meters and Movement Sensor (telepathic circuits) Boxes are smaller.

Agreed. Hadn't noticed that the movement sensors were smaller though. My disappointment at more obvious failures differences has limited my interest in it.  :-\
