I saw the trailer first just after "The Science of Doctor Who" (which wasn't the programme I thought it was going to be) whic was broadcast UK at 9pm Thursday.

If you are talking about "an Adventure in Space and Time" it says on the BBC website that it will be broadcast on BBC2 on Thursday 21st November at 9pm.

No idea for Stateside broadcast details I'm afraid Dino

Mark, BBC America has a whole WEEK of Doctor Who next week.  It'll keep the US occupied!

Well I booked the 23rd off of work, I was hoping it might be a Doctor Who night with it being the 50th, but with AAISAT being on a few days before, I guess I was probably wrong.

You lucky Americans Bill.

you should track down the BBC USA commercial. Nice close up of the panel with the Fast Return on it.

I really hope the yearometer reading (1963) is only done for the trailer... I think it would be really overdoing it for the modern audience if that's in the show :/

The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.

And the press get fed the scapegoats,

Not sure I understand why it'd be overdoing it?  It'd be no more overdoing it than the Time Machine in either movie adaptation of H.G. Wells' Time Machine, or the Time Circuits in Back to the Future's DeLorean.

Rassilons Rod

Well because they're trying to recreate the original, and set the drama in 1963...

It wasn't like that. What they've done here is rotoscope a small screen onto the console. Totally not necessary in the context of the drama. And it would be a wasted fx shot.

Just my opinion. But I'm still looking forward to this more than "Day" :D

I was lucky enough to catch this at the BFI screening. Utterly wonderful.

Please tell me that the console isn't CGI'd with year-o-meters in the finished thing :D

An observation...

I just noticed they left off a control from one of the panels:
OverheadView(Cropped).jpg
The yellow circle on this panel should have something in that area.

HartnellPanel.jpg
Early on in the Hartnell era there was this "Inverted 'T'" with a large knob on it, about the same size as the knob on the Demat and Materialisation Levers. (Highlighted above in the yellow circle.) As Hartnell's era wore on, that control shrank, as did the knob, until it was nothing more than a small knob/switch (seen like that as early as "The Web Planet" story), and that control stayed like that into the Troughton era:
TroughtonPanel.jpg

I would think that since they're taking this docudrama from the show's beginning into its Troughton era (from the casting of our Troughton look-alike), they would have included at least these two versions of the control. I mean, they went through such pains to get so many of the fine details right, such as forming the original roundels and such for the walls and building that intricate central column, one would think someone on the design team would have noticed that control while looking over their reference material.

I know this is a trivial thing, but as I said, they went through such pains to get everything right, I don't know how they missed this, especially since it was a large control during those early Hartnell days.

More than that. That's one of the things that started to vanish over time...

Also the two rubber panels (that are sometimes represented as 2 more speaker grills vertically oriented). They should be either side of a single Ping-Pong lamp that is on a metal base. On the panel just above the one you highlighted. They also vanished by about Season 3.
