When I first joined this forum, I noticed that there was no videos of members building their Tardis (Tardi?)
So, I thought I would document all the painful details of my TARDIS build for the info-tainment of the forum members!

Well guys,
Here's abit of good news...I finished my TARDIS and it is on display at Orlando International Airport in the employee art show.  FUNNY, HUH?
The show opens to the public Friday August 1st and runs till the end of the month, so, if you happen to be at OIA to visit 'Mickey', just as the info desk where to find the employee art show...(they won't know what a TARDIS is)!

Thanks Colin,

The latches are nice for quick and semi easy setup and breakdown.
I got the idea from my guitar case latch, but, the only thing I could find were window latches.

Haha, brilliant!   Timeflight (but better, obviously) comes to the US - watch out for chuckling mandarins with bad skin!

(Seriously though, that's great, you must win the prize just for scale in your art, right!?)

What's really funny is someone on Monday(I set it up there on Satuday) came rushing up to the Art Director responsible for the show at 9am screaming that she "HAD TO SEE THE TARDIS!!!" of course, this took Janet, the Art Director quite by surprise because she had no idea what my project actually WAS!  hee-hee!  So, she let the lil Brit in to see this crazy big blue POLICE BOX! 
Janet later told me it was like watching someone meeting ELVIS!

It is great to finally see the final product complete with paint!

I wish I had business in Orlando, I would love to have seen this in person! I hope my build ends up as good as yours.

Guess what? I won 'Honorable Mention'.  oh well...BUT, I can now rightly say I'm an "AWARD WINNING TARDIS REBUILDER!!!  WAHOO!
Here are some photos of the opening night...

My friend and her daughter are HUGE Dr. Who fans!  They were VERY excited!

I let her use the key to open the door...quite the little Martha Jones!

My Co-worker Jerry and his daughter...the only Londoner at my workplace; HE LOVED IT!

Kids just LOVE this big blue box!  I love seeing their reactions.

People have already asked me if I will take it up to Atlanta for Dragon Con this year.
Honestly, I'd have to rent a TRUCK!
