Is the depth of the scanner comparable to the other scanners?

It should be the same dimensions as the one used from The Invisible Enemy onwards.  The actual wall is wider, but the scanner screen size is the same.  Now the screen cover had square corners, whereas the previous version had rounded corners.

The vertical sides of the scanner recess were slightly sloped weren't they? The horizontal ones were pretty much level?
