OOH!  You need a recorded TARDIS materializing sound effect to play in his bedroom to wake him up in the morning.

Hi möbius
I predrilled all the mounting holes during the test fit (seems like only yesterday)
It's all hand work from here
Cheers, have a good one

Hi Volpone
Yes. I have a sci fi sound effects disk with the landing sequence on it
"Play it loud" is the thought in my head ( evil humorous laugh here )
I've also got the title track for later
Cheers

The most heart-warming, super secret, bestest ever Christmas present build ever. Your son will be wanting a new 'desktop wallpaper' for his bedroom next...
Merry Christmas!

Well, looking at the time, he's quite possibly madly (but quietly) assembling the whole shebang as we speak. Well, write.

It's 21:57 local (GMT +8)
Declan is currently watching the Polar Express (again), in between checking where Santa is (NORAD Tracks Santa)

it's currently T minus 62 minutes
(I hope he goes to sleep fast)

I finished the wallpaper poster of the Tenth Doctors console room earlier tonight.
All parts are currently hidden in the house
(wardrobes are still good hiding places)

I'll try to update tonight, but might have to wait for Christmas night/Boxing day.
Will try to get it on video.

Safe one to all.

The TARDIS has landed.

It wasn't empty....

While I checked out the inside of the Tardis, to make sure all occupants were asleep

Little Dave raided my fridge:

Didn't eat much, no wonder he's as thin as cardboard.

More and better pics after Christmas.

...of course now you're going to have to introduce your son to the old Pertwee episodes, where he was stranded on Earth because the TARDIS didn't work.

Ahhh.... the best laid plans....

Let them stay up really late watching Christmas movies.  Fill 'em up on popcorn.  Pack 'em off to bed really late.
(build a Tardis in total silence)

Charge up all the cameras' in the house to be sure they will be ready for the morning.
Set your alarm for 05:30 to be sure of getting up before them....

Only to be woken up at 05:15 by a seven year old howling through the house screaming:

"DAD, DAD, THERE'S A TARDIS IN THE FAMILY ROOM !!!  DAAAAADDD!  There's a TARDIS in the family room !!"

"DAD, DAD, wakeup!! There's a Tardis in the family room!!"

Like I could have been asleep at this point.......
05:16 looks like this:

And with the flash on.

Might actually get some video of the play that is going on at the moment.

Priceless.

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
