The Box at the junction of Kingston By-Pass Road (Malden Way) and South Lane in Malden -- V36

Not sure of the date of the photo, but probably circa 1960 or so --

In this view the first divider would correspond to the first one behind the Box in the original photo.

Despite it not being mentioned in the Met List's description of the Site, it seems that based on the photo and the geography of the area that it stood on the island in the Site's street view, noting that the island was much larger in the past.

With the Box's island being the big triangular one near the center of this view, at the southwest corner of the intersection. It may have been semi-attached to the main sidewalk as part of it is now.
