I'm not sure where this was originally located, but it should be a London Original.
The only way to find out is go to the museum and talk to the curator I suppose.

According to the original poster on flickr, this located in a big room with a tram in it.
Not that I can confirm it since no one seems to ever take photos in or around this museum.

I think this is the best City of London police crest.
It is unfortunate that I can't go and get a better photo of this thing.
I've tried three times to go see this Post in person, in five years it hasn't worked out.

Update Dec 2016:
Here is a closer look at the crest. It came up on ebay some time ago.
I tried to win it but it didn't work out that way.
Still the description gave it as a motorcycle sticker and it is 5"x5" square.

I still like this crest very much, much more than the newest crest they have in use for the 2010s.
