Okay.. let's make up for my incompetence with a nice photo of Shepherd's Bush Green from 1960....   
There is definitely a Police Box in the Photo!!

Any idea as to the date?

The picture shows a London Trolley Bus and a mark I Mini. The Trolley Buses were in service up to 1962 (with a few exceptions which continued up to 1970) whilst the mark I Mini was introduced in 1959.

So, unless the number 607 (Uxbridge to Shepherd's Bush) Trolley Bus was one of the few which continued in service, we have a 'window' of 1959 to 1962 for the date of the picture.

It's actually 1960 the same date as my photo (The reg plates come from the same batch as well!)
