Okay Scott  the weather has actually cooled down to a workable temperature. These 100+ degree weekends have been slowing my progress.

So Evil Bob-
where does one get heat mould plastic? and was this difficult to form?- did you use a top frame to apply downward pressure?

inquiring minds want to know.

Here's a tutorial I made for another forum.

I got the styrene plastic from amazon.com.


The plastic is attached to a wood frame and heated in a 350 degree oven until the plastic droops. Then it's put over the original while the vacuum is running. The vacuum does all of the work.
