Hey All,
Not a who prop, but I thought it looked like fun and would be an easy addition to those of us making consoles.  If it really does click it might even be worth the cost... maybe.

Thought some might like to check it out.

Thanks to the guys behind the scenes who moved this- my apologies for posting in the wrong place-  Funny I have been on the board for a while now and I somehow didn't even realize there was the 'Link' section here.  Clearly someone needs to read more carfully  :-[.

cheers

This would be good for those building an 11th Doctor console. There are quite a few of these types of combination dials on it. (And just think of the havoc you could wreak by setting each one to a different time, and have the timers go off at varying intervals. Might be a good way to wake the kids up. ;D)

I know that Martha used one of these to fast forward the Doctor's message in Human Nature. only it had a metallic color.
why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Thanks for the link on this.  I used three kitchen timers on my second custom console and they are a lot of fun to play with.  I may want to add some of these to my third :)  The metallic finish wouldn't be a hard change to make to these.

Silver paint is a wonderful thing, but it tends to rub off more easily than other paints. (At least that's what I've found.) I've heard that some automotive paints don't rub off as easily. Then the problem comes of painting the markings on the dial black, although a fine-point paint pen or Sharpie should do the trick there. My son says they've for really find-tipped "Gundam" pens now for detailing the fine panel seams on the Gundam models. He's recently used one on a small Gundam model and it looks really great. So that is a third option for making the dial markings black after painting the dial silver if you're going for the 10th Doctor console dial.
