Hi everyone! So, my TARDIS was put on the back burner for this project, my 2005 Dalek!

Basically, I followed the Cinema 4D tutorial over on ProjectDalek.com and converted the steps for Lightwave. Still tweaking the colors and the surfaces, and I need to build the textures, most noticeably for the name icon for the dome, and the wire-mesh for the neck. I'm also going to have to see if I can build the 5-sided iris for the eyestalk. But he's mostly rigged and ready to animate!

In the images with 2 Daleks, the one on the left is the high-quality version, while the one on the right is the low-quality version.

Thoughts and comments?

What is the poly count difference between the two?

The High-Res one has 373,565 Polys and and 2,176 subpatched surfaces. With a subdivision level of 3, that comes out to 409,775 polygons.

The Low-poly version is 77,911 Polys and 230 Subpatches. With the same subdivision level of 3, that comes to 92,439 polygons.

The whole model is module, so I can use higher resolution parts as need be.
