Ah if only that were true :) I had to take a few liberties with various aspects of the roof unfortunately, simply because of the dimensions of wood/plastic/metal I had available, and also to make it fit over the batteries and switches. But I don't think it's anything you would notice without a tape measure.

Well, one last update for this thread before I start taking some proper photos of the finished thing :) Just wanted to show off my new door handles and hinges, I'm pretty happy with them, although I'm sure the phone panel handle wouldn't even stand up to a stiff breeze before falling off.

Well I wasn't sure whether or not to start a new thread in the Gallery section to show off the finished thing, but I thought I might as well wrap up this thread neatly with a few shots anyway, hope you like them. I have to say thanks for all the help and encouragement you've all given me while I made this :)

And just to show I should have been working on the show in 1969...

Did you splice your own clip into the original footage? It's been a while since I've seen Spearhead so I really have no clue! Great job :)

Well, I have to agree then. You SHOULD have been working on this back then. That's a far cry better looking than the original! :o

Well, you know that *is* what the Gallery is there for...

Super build! And yes, way more accurate than the model they were using at the time.

So can you be Rebuilder of the Month for smaller scale TARDISes? You'd get my vote :)

The best compliment I can give you is that watching that clip, I wouldn't have noticed that it wasn't original.  Excellent work.
My pilot's license? That's out back in the Cessna. Or perhaps you're referring to my license to kill. Revoked. Trouble at the Kazakhstan border.

I could give you the details but then I'd have to kill you, which I can't do because my license to kill has been revoked.

A true masterpiece and much better than the original prop.

Hmm.  Actually I've spotted a problem...  Your lantern is perfectly aligned, and straight up, whereas the full size prop seems to have it at a jaunty angle...  :D  ;D

I agree with Rox, you cannot tell a difference.

Quote from: zbignievhamson board=build thread=779 post=17406 time=1223836040Well here are my new signs. I think they look pretty good. I discussed the fonts in the font thread in the FAQ section. I dirtied upthe plain images from that thread in Photoshop and also with a wash of dark paint on top of the finished things. They're just paper glued to some clear plastic so, although they can be backlit, they don't light up entirely realistically as they aren't frosted with opaque lettering or anything like that, but I'm willing to make that compromise as they look fine when unlit, which it will be most of the time.
