So maybe take a look in some craft stores to see what they've got. Maybe they'll at least have a "bare bones" pedestal that you can build on. You never know. (And that clock is really outstanding! Is it going to have one of those quartz build-a-clock movements in it so it actually tells time? Or is there not enough room in there for it?)

Thanks, Dino.  I've got some parts on the way.  I suppose a small clock mechanism could be fit in there, but I'm not planning to.
