After buying a 1oth Doctor sonic screwdriver, I started wondering about how to
display it. After looking on the internet and not finding anything I though was
appropriate, I built my own.

The base of the stand comes from a "humane-style" mousetrap. The "U" shaped
bits are from an old Garmin GPS III motorcycle handlebar mount, and flat pieces
are 1/8" x 3/4" thermoplastic, which I bent to shape on our kitchen stove.

After I glued it all together, I painted it black (so everything was the same color),
and made a nameplate using the graphics program and transparent labeling film
on my computer.
"Wait a sec! 'They shouldn't have been poking their fingers in
things they knew nothing about?' Isn't that what we always do?"
"Yeah...but we're good at it."

Well done, sir! That looks better than the stand from MFX or Celestial Toy Store. Maybe because it fits right in a little better with the rest of The Doctor's things - all bodged together by either him, or the TARDIS herself (as we've seen she's capable of doing).

I like it!

I'm still planning on doing a hanging box display of my sonics at some point.

Nice job there, I need to make one for my Tom Baker and David Tennant sonic.
