You may well be right, Steve. I found a piece of copper pipe while cleaning out the back room (actually the wife was cleaning it out while Stormageddon was taking one of his all-too-short kips; I was just holding the bin bag since my back doesn't let me do much else). The pipe measured 3/4ths-inch in diameter, and even my finger in relation to the pipe looked like Adric's does to the one on the console (and he was much younger than I was at the time - probably still is and had smaller fingers!). So it's well within the realm of possibility.

Dino, they do make them still and do sell to anyone and everyone. I'm waiting for a quote for two sets.

The corner pieces are cable trays (the small rectangles are what connect cable trays and regular lengths together) and the arched legs are tee connectors - just as Irvine said really!

I'll list the catalog pages with model/order numbers here shortly.

Did you ever get these parts?  Looking at their site, they only have this in green ABS plastic, not clear transparent.  Not sure if the green is opaque or not.  And they don't seem to have the tee connectors anymore.  :(   Also, what size do you end up getting?

Thanks,
Other Dave

I did. Let me gather the details and post when I can. I got a bit busy with a few million other things since acquiring them.

I hope this is on the right post. I seen these while watching "Arc of Infinity" last night, I identified the "recall" unit, & the wife the gold panel bit. I realize they have been already posted but not mentioned as to what they are.
These are the pics, & description underneath:

The Gold bit is the bottom of a chocolate box where you have the foil in the bottom & it's been turned upside down.
The White perspex pyramid "Recall" unit is made of what I believe it to be made from a light diffuser, the type they have in shops with fluros & a cover to spread the light. I've put many of these up. Made of perspex & can snap very easily.
These are just what the wife & I thought they were.

Hope this helps someone.

Chris, I think the gold bit was mentioned a while back (somewhere in this thread, probably near the start), though I don't think there was a positive ID on what it was. There was some talk of it being from a tin of cat food or some such, but knowing it's from some chocolate container makes it definitely sound better when it comes to emptying one! ;D

And you're right about that Recall Indicator cover. It is one of those fluorescent light fixture diffusers. We had some broken ones replaced when I was still stationed on Governors Island in New York, and one day when I wasn't teaching a class I grabbed one of the broken diffusers, a hacksaw (it was in the tool box and had a fine blade in it), and with the help of some super glue I actually made one of these. It was a perfect match for the look. It sat on the coffee table and was always an eyebrow-raising conversation piece when anyone asked what it was. Sadly it was one of the things that did not survive the military manglors when they moved us from NY to Virginia Beach. I've always kept meaning to build another, but life always got in the way.

I'll build another; I just don't know when. :-\

I believe I may have identified what was used for the two brassy levers in Arc.124ArcofInfinity0002.jpg
They are some sliders that were used for mixing desks in the 60's. Let me know what you think.

I am not sure about the first photo but it is close.
Thanks to Bill 'the Doctor' Rudloff for the Arc photo

Wow! I think you might be onto something there! (And here's me thinking those levers were scratch-built ::)) Nice detective work - keep up with threads like this and you definitely will take the forum by storm. ;D

Blimey, I used to have one of those timebombs...

davidnagel

I'm pretty sure they were fabricated and even the lever knobs themselves were too. But the mixer levers you've pointed out are definitely used on the Smith/Capaldi console :D

Yeah I noticed that too.

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

hey just noticed the Fresnel or concentric circle pattern on the green Magnetic energy source detector.
122Earthshock0006greenbox4.jpg
That could be a saucer or plate or a Fresnel lens
maybe I could print a set of concentric circles on to a transparency and overlay it on a sheet of green filter.

Concentric circles here:
