Just a post to show off what I have so far for my steampuk sonic. Anyone know where to get  a lamp finial????????????/

Have you shopped round the hardware store/home improvment center where the celing fans, light fixtures, lampshades etc are?

I had a look in two of them, still haven't gone to B&Q yet. I know they sell the pipe in B&Q, but not shure about that cartain lamp finial.

This site has a bunch of cool stuff.  You could even vary the material if you like.  I found a round finial on this page:

Code 620 is a good variation I think.  It's a little larger but it is YOUR sonic, so I say make changes here and there that suit your taste.
