Wow, looks like naming needs its own thread!

I say we give them version numbers ;)

Or the year they first appeared.

1963
1966
2017
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

The other 'problem' with the designation "Brachacki Refit" is which refit do you actually mean? In addition, is it therefore still correct to call the box "Brachacki" at all?

In the first three years of its life it was repaired twice, had three completely different lamps and was repainted numerous times. But, fundamentally, it was still the Brachacki Box...........

............. it's becoming increasingly difficult to argue that there is physically very much left of the original Brachacki box - by this stage most of it been replaced!

So maybe we should refer to it as "Brachaki's Broom" then?

Some of you will get the reference.

Given the 1966 box's origins, maybe "Brachacki's Broom Cupboard"?

After all, being big enough on the inside to hold the Ship of Theseus, the Tardis would need someone like Colin "Trigger" Ball to sweep its corridors!   ;)

i have a question. were all the windows on the Brachacki box able to open?

tony farrell

Yes, except for the right-hand front door (when viewed facing the box).  :)

Don't know if this picture's new to all of you, certainly is to me. Looks like a BBC storage area, possibly somewhere around 1965 as there's that big stock prop that was re-used in Mission to the Unknown lurking in the background. One of the control room light boxes right behind the TARDIS and a nice bit of casterage on display.

EDIT: Ah, I see it was already in the Masterplan section. I'll leave this here and Mods feel free to delete if you prefer!
