Interactive Console

I know it does not officially fit the 'look' of any of the consoles but, I found this site and their 'LED non touch panels' kind of cool... (although expensive).  Check out their video example.

Imagine just hand waving over a panel and having the time rotor kick in.. or off.

Of course I would give massive kudos to anyone who built an interactive console with those panels as the controls and this as the time rotor

perhaps slightly smaller...

obviously it would have to be cylindrical instead of cuboid.
